It's easy to list my credentials and experience and if that's what you are looking for, scroll down. When I asked colleagues for feedback on this website I heard that I needed a good, professional head shot. I understand that would probably appeal to some potential clients and hopefully you are curious enough to read more.
The picture I am using instead might say more about who I am. It was taken in a natural setting near my home where my creativity, passion, fearlessness, resilience, courage and authenticity thrive. At the heart of my work is my deep, conscious commitment to live what I teach - building safe places within ourselves and the places we live and work; confronting our limiting stories; shifting our perspectives to what empowers us; finding the inner wisdom and strength to face all of life's joys and challenges. I do this on a daily basis and it comes from a belief that we could all use a little more love and kindness in our lives.
What you see here, is what you get through my coaching and training: A down-to-earth facilitator, empathetic listener, insightful teacher, with a well-cultivated, fiercely determined focus on what IS working.
SKILLS AND TRAINING:
As a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach since 2005, I have coached willing and curious individuals who want to get out of the stuck places in their lives, to live with more joy and peace and sometimes, to commit to something bigger than themselves. When I discovered The Empowerment Dynamic* work in 2013 I knew I had found the sweet spot where I wanted to place my focus. This is the work thathas chosen me to help people shift from a Victim Orientation to a Creator Orientation. That can be a tough one because most of us don't even realize how often we are triggered and how unconsciously we react. When we become aware of this pattern, and know how to handle it, the results are remarkable.
From this groundbreaking material I have learned how significant this work is in my daily life and in the lives of countless people around me, personally and professionally. I am a Certified 3 Vital Questions®/The Empowerment Dynamic* Practitioner and I am focused on helping my clients be seriously liberated from drama, even when they don't know that's the name for what is disrupting their lives. Besides coaching clients One/One, I offer organizations a powerful program called Resilient Workplaces (formerly Creating Extraordinary Outcomes in the Workplace.) The impact has been profound as a new way of relating both internally and externally brings a healthy perspective to the question of what's possible.
More on my background: Since my childhood when I arranged a mini classroom for my siblings on weekends I have been in some form of teaching or helping profession. In 1997 I made a formal commitment to leave the structure of business and create opportunities to fulfill my passion for learning and growth for myself and others.
By 2000 I began leading life-changing retreats for women that drew on my deep spiritual beliefs and determination that time 'away' is critical for all of us. The bodies of work grew along with my own ongoing studies and remarkable women from around the world came to find their inner wisdom. I was also leading informative and motivational workshops for public groups and in corporate settings.
During this time I trained as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach with the world renowned Coaches Training Institute. My focus was on guiding people through transition; helping them find clarity as they set goals and visions for their future. I used Shadow Work and Perspective exercises to encourage and provoke new ways of being while letting go of limiting beliefs. Eventually I undertook the rigorous, ten month Co-Active Leadership Program to broaden my experience and better serve my clients.
In 2013 I was introduced to the Power of TED* (The Empowerment Dynamic*) and discovered a pathway to self-empowerment that I knew would be essential work for my clients both personally and professionally. I studied with the Bainbridge Institute and became a Certified TED* Practitioner. . This ground breaking work has become my primary tool in supporting people out of the Drama Triangle and into The Empowerment Dynamic. In early 2017 I developed Creating Extraordinary Outcomes in the Workplace, now calledResilient Workplaces, based on Bainbridge's teaching format and have committed time and resources to working with organizations who are on the leading edge of developing more sustainable relationships internally and externally. When they upgraded their brand to 3 Vital Questions® I joined them in November 2019 to refine my skills specifically for organizations
I am also a published author of several books to nudge people into living well with purpose and joy. I live with deep gratitude on the shores of Lake Huron near the village of Tobermory, Ontario, Canada with my loving and supportive husband Doug.
