For many people there's an undeniable thrill to
physically going "out on a limb". The sensation of
balancing high in a treetop, on the edge of a cliff ...
or in this case ... on limb over a lake, feeds their
desire for challenge and risk. There's a rush of
adrenaline and a longing to know they can do "it." Often
people use their greatest fears to stretch themselves
with skydiving, caving or bungee jumping. The
combination of danger and excitement can be thrilling.
Of course there are other ways to go out on a limb. We
hear about people pushing the limits in the world of
business all the time. And then there are courageous
people like my friend
Heather Mesaric who speak out about topics that most
of us are afraid of.
I have personally felt the knotting in my stomach as
I've done something that scares the beejeebers out of me
and that I know will ultimately serve me well. I'm doing
it again with this newsletter as I slip in some news
about one of my passions.
Before becoming a coach I led Self-Empowerment Retreats
and provided spiritual guidance and support to women.
I've realized lately that I miss having that focus in my
coaching. So, it seems completely natural to blend both
of my loves - spirituality and coaching - in service of
my clients. What this means to you is that I will be
bringing into our relationship my devotion to enhancing
your spiritual journey. It shows up now in a more subtle
way and with this announcement I am inviting you to call
me to discuss what might be possible ... or just what
the heck this all means!
As Joan Borysenko says "Spirituality is an opening of
the senses, an intimacy with the universe." I would add
- a powerful opportunity for you to find your "self".
QUESTION FOR THE MONTH: What am I ready to reveal to
myself?
