Soulful Leadership

hit tracker

"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." John Quincy Adams

What difference would it make if you knew you had the power to influence others without manipulation or domination? What if you motivated and inspired others through your words and actions clearly demonstrating the strength of character so admired in the world's greatest leaders?

For every one of us who imagines leading even just one person down a path of fulfillment, accomplishment or happiness there is a soulful approach that will guarantee us results. It starts with being leaders in our own lives.

As simplistic as this sounds, the world is crawling with people who play leadership roles without any conscious understanding of themselves or the bigger picture. They may think they are highly skilled or knowledgeable and therefore well positioned to be "in charge" or "in control". They might be comfortable on a stage or in front of room which gives the illusion of having the qualities to lead. Perhaps they have systematically climbed the ranks within an organization or have been defaulted into a level that demands leadership. Whatever the case, a title or position doesn't make a leader anymore than picking up a glove makes someone a baseball player.

Soulful leadership means getting "right" with yourself; going inside your own thoughts and feelings so you know who you really are. Soulful leadership is getting "right" with the universe, the bigger purpose, the whole of humanity. Soulful leadership is surrendering to what we don't know as much as what we do. Soulful leadership is letting go of individual agendas to share in a universal one.

The world is longing for leadership that is grounded in personal integrity.

Question of the month: “When will you be the leader the world is waiting for?"
