Got any drama going on in your life?

Relax ... we all do!

Drama is best described as the escalation of a negative emotional reaction to a person or event.
It is seductive AND destructive.

It affects your relationships, career, physical health, finances, decision making and state of mind.

When you are in a drama cycle with others we call this the Dreaded Drama Triangle (DDT).

In the Dreaded Drama Triangle (DDT) you tend to focus on Problem People and Problem Situations. This is where the roles of Victim, Rescuer and Persecutor can drain you of the capacity to make thoughtful decisions and feel happy or satisfied.

The Victim feels hopeless and helpless to change their situation. They complain and blame others and everything for the sorry state of their lives and look for someone to fix their problems. They are known for their 'Poor Me' and 'Yeah, But'.

The Rescuer is driven to help others by 'saving the day' and telling people what they need to do. They feel powerful when they jump in and take over solving problems. They are selfless martyrs with few boundaries.

The Persecutor feels superior and uses aggressive and passive-aggressive behaviour to belittle and control others. They criticize, abandon, bully, dismiss and unfairly judge others. A Persecutor can also be a disappointing experience or situation.

Sound like a recipe for Drama? It is!
Now ... PAUSE and feel empathy for yourself and others. We have ALL played these roles and we ALL have the capacity to change our reactionary behaviour.

When you are ready to shift out of the seductive
and destructive energy of drama start with these
3 Vital Questions:

1. Where are you putting your focus?
2. How are you relating?
3. What actions are you taking?

These questions are the introduction to
The Empowerment Dynamic (TED*).
With TED*, your focus is on the Outcomes that you want and what really matters to you. This is where the roles of Creator, Coach and Challenger open you up to passion, hope, creativity and joy.

The Creator feels confident that they can change how they see their situation and that things will ultimately work out. They take responsibility for themselves and see opportunities no matter what comes their way. They are resilient with an "I've Got This" attitude.

The Coach sees everyone as capable, resourceful and whole. They believe others ultimately know what's best for themselves and ask powerful questions that bring clarity to others. They remind others of their strengths and hold the vision of what they want to create.

The Challenger moves others into action by telling the truth with compassion, empathy and an intention to support learning and growth. They hold others accountable and set boundaries through commitments to actionable Baby Steps.

UNIT 1: WHAT’S THE COST OF DRAMA?
Begin by truly understanding the cost of drama in your life both at work and at home.

UNIT 2: FOCUS – FISBE INTRODUCTION
Take a closer look at the 3 Vital Questions and immediately dive into Question #1: Where are you putting your focus? You’ll discover the importance of FISBE – Focus, Inner State and Behavior – as an “internal operating system,” in which your focus produces an inner state that drives behavior.

UNIT 3: THE TWO MINDSETS
Introduces you to two basic operating mindsets, the FISBE of both orientations, and the important differences between them. Increase your awareness of your own mindset when confronted with different challenges.

UNIT 4: FACING LIFE’S DRAMA’S – THE ROLES WE PLAY
Explore Vital Question #2: How are you relating? You’ll gain insight into the Dreaded Drama Triangle™ (DDT) and the roles of Victim, Persecutor, and Challenger.

UNIT 5: LIBERATING WORKPLACE DRAMA – INTRODUCING TED* (*THE EMPOWERMENT DYNAMIC)®
Receive an introduction to The Empowerment Dynamic and learn about the three distinct roles involved in this dynamic: Creator, Challenger and Coach. Learn how each of these roles are the “antidote” to the corresponding toxic Dreaded Drama Triangle roles.

UNIT 6: MAKING SHIFTS HAPPEN
Learn ways in which you can catch yourself in the DDT roles and consciously make the shift into the resourceful, resilient, and innovative roles of TED*. You will then learn how to look at drama in a new light and consider how you might change your response to challenging situations and co-create outcomes with others.

UNIT 7: THE MAGIC OF DYNAMIC TENSION
Vital Question #3: What actions are you taking? You’ll be able to explore the concept of dynamic tension and the power of Baby Steps to create outcomes and make decisions.

UNIT 8: EMBRACE THE JOURNEY – WHAT ACTIONS WILL YOU TAKE?
Unit 8 contains an overall summary of what you’ve learned and how you can apply the principles from The 3 Vital Questions into your everyday life, both at work and at home.
